EXPRESS DELIVERY APPS MAKING REVOLUTION ?

 

  DO YOU USE EXPRESS DELIVERY APPS ?

      If not then you should, because it is a revolution companies who have entered in this segment are performing brillinatly. they are able to meet the demand of the ideal urban user where life is fast and there is less time for even shopping. You are gonna love this blog we have collected a lot of data from users and we have got exciting results : ) But, first lets get familiar to the market and its competitors we have many leaders and steady competitors but lets start from the beginning from where it all started with the launch of BIG BASKET in 2010 really long back it was launched... and who thought grofers now blink it was launched back in 2013 they did work thier way up until today as we see them and this has no doubt bought a lot of competition. 

In todays time alot and many comapnies small and big MNCs and even start ups have found tier and fortunes in this segment to name a few we have :-

• SWIGGY with its instamart 
• TATA big basket 
• ZEPTO 
• BLINK IT then grofers 
• AMAZON fresh
• Walmart Flipkart 
• DUNZO

All these comapnies have thier own marketing own market segmentation and thier own promises to deliver goods some offer speed some offer a wider selection of goods from their substantaially large inventory like big basket, Amazon, Flipkart are able to provide a greater variety of products whereas blink it, zepto, instamart focus more on the speed of the delivery thats 10-15 min which hampers thier reach to a lot places. 

SO from above it clear there are two segments here 

1. speed doesnt matter to them they need a greater variety of goods 
2. speed matters to them and they require the products instantly 

    Adding to that there customers are loyal to either one or thier use case scenario differs i.e. some like me always prefers Instamart because i like thier user experience packaging delivery speed which is between 10-20 min and then there are people who just need it right now so they prefer blinkit or zepto because they take max 15 min for delivery, like when we did the survey on this topic we got very intresting results somwhere shocking as well xD, here is our survey data collected by kazi. 

54% (approx) of the people use express grocery delivery service on regular basis while 18.2% have not used it and 27.3% use when they usually requires it the most 

After 10 minutes delivery was introduced about 68.2% people's life was made easier while 31.8% people turned lazy.

Among the express delivery service application about 59.1% of the people use Instamart by swiggy,18.2% use big basket and blinkit and very few use zepto.

According to the survey about 59.1% of the people believe that Instamart by swiggy provides most exciting offers, 18.2% believes big basket and blinkit provides more exciting offers and very few are with zepto.

More than 50% of the people participated in the survey believes in using express delivery app while 40.9%  still likes to do it the old fashioned way by visiting shops.

NOW I WILL DO THE REVIEW OF THESE COMPANIES COZ I ORDER A LOT : )

ZEPTO entered the market like a wild card where instamart and blinkit were making thier spaces zepto made thier way in and ruled over its customers who they could serve. 

ZEPTO's model is based on speed where if the customers are far away from the delivery hub they are not served and orders that do not take more than 15 minutes to get delivered are only actually delievered, thier inventory size is currently very small compared to others in this segment but the delivery speed of zepto is unmatched it has saved my day my recepies also situations infront of guests overall the UI can get more clean and of high quality it will take time and effort to perfect the User Expierence it will be all worth it 

    

BLINK IT earlier grofers is the application which has a great inventory and also delivers fast but doesnt restrict as zepto does, for me Inventory Hub is far and deliveries take longer than usual 

As of the app the the application is really high quality sometimes it feels better than swiggy, and offers and discounts is something that i usually find on blink it, because of thier earlier model of grofers sabse sasta bazzar pricing wise blink it is great but one thing which pinches is that there is delivery charge limiters and additional sur charge also chraged at the time checkout which makes overall purchase decison a great let down.

Though Zomato aquired a 9.8% stake in blink it it doesnt seem to pick up that pace 

Instamart is a 10/10 in every way from the delivery speed to the user experience to offers and discounts and also thier highly controvertial and witty ad campaign through social media marketing. Ive in numerous ocassions been a guy where instamart saved my day be it in college be even at a hospital the reach of instamart is immense as is the delivery partner fleet size, though inventory size is fairly large but not as large to compared to blink it and big baske,t it does the daily job of buying groceries very well and for me it is saviour, in my case i bought the Swiggy ONE  subscription because of which all my deliveries are always free i bought it like on 800 rs have saved 4000 rs until now which includes free deliveries and offers as well. Swiggy is all good just need to provide the option for cash on deliveries certain locations.

In general I order in bulk from BIG BASKET and In terms of inventory size big basket has the biggest size of them all and no surprises at all it was big when it was launched it provided almost everything and still countinues to does ... name signifies it all ...whatever, the application is actually very well built its semaless is high quality and always feels fresh to open at... maybe its the green... ya big basket in all is the sam eold thing they use to do but theier is othersegment callled big basket now where they are promising to deliver goods in about 15-30 minutes thats ambitious in all kinds of way have such a lafge inventory manage but it has the hans of TATA on its shoulders where thier worry mellows down a bit they have huge potentail and can become market leaders replacing swiggy

ALL IN ALL if i i would like to conclude the ideal application for me would me the variety of big basket or blinkit with the wonderful UI of instamart and speed of zepto would be ideal... they all should eventually partner xD...and thats not possible as well

 All providers are good and working well in their segement and we see a boom in the growth of this industry and trend shift from not just groceries but other household items of need but as a matter of fact it is in a way making us lazy... honestly speaking the bazzar is not that far away from my home that im uable to visit but still i use it on mom's order as usual and it has been a great expeirenc efor me and im excited to see this revolution take new shapes and aquiring in new sectors.
